Ginger Sesame Dwarf Beans

Dwarf beans might also be called French or round beans. Fine green beans or broccoli or strips of courgettes could also be cooked in this way.


2 tbsp olive oil
2cm fresh ginger, peeled and finely sliced
350g dwarf beans, trimmed and halved
2 tbsp sesame seeds
2 tbsp soy sauce


Heat the oil in a wok or large frying pan. Add the ginger and stir-fry for 1 minute.

Add the dwarf beans and stir-fry for 3 minutes until tender but still retain a crunch. Add the sesame seeds and soy sauce and stir-fry for a further minute.

Serve immediately as an accompaniment to a Chinese style meal.
